My Henna and the Process
Whether it's your first time getting Henna done or you're a seasoned pro, here's some additional information on my Henna and how to best be prepared.

My Henna
I make my henna in small batches, using Organic Suraja henna powder, Organic raw sugar, water, and essential oils- typically lavender oil. Some henna is made with harsh chemicals and dyes to provide an extremely dark stain that can last a bit longer, but those dyes and chemicals can unfortunately cause some horrible reactions and even leave permanent scarring.
If you are worried about trying Henna for the first time, please let me know and we can do a patch test to ensure that you're not allergic to any of my ingredients.
The Application
The Henna is applied to the skin using something much like a cake icing bag and is placed on top of the skin. There's no needles, no pain, or worry for any cross-contamination.

I will not apply Henna to any broken or damaged skin to ensure the safety of all customers.

Prep and Aftercare
For the best application and longest-lasting results:

-
Come with clean, moisturized, and dry skin
-
Leave the Henna on for 6-12 hours. The Henna will continue to stain for the amount of time you keep it on, so the longer it is left on, the more of a stain it will produce
-
Have patience! Since my Henna is organic and can be 'slow-moving', it can take 12-24 hours for the stain to fully darken up, so don't be discouraged!
-
Once the paste is removed, continue to moisturize the skin (preferably with an oil-based moisturizer or balm). The more moisturized the skin is, the darker the stain can get and the longer it will last!
-
Try to avoid exfoliating the stain as much as possible. The stain lasts as long as those layers of skin remain, so treat it nicely and you can get a stain to last anywhere from 1-2 weeks (or longer)!
